Course Overview

Our Level 3 Learning and Development Practitioner qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to perform as effectively in their specific field whether it be technical, vocational or behavioural. It also provides the learner the opportunity to progress into specific areas of learning and development such as; learning design, e-learning, or digital/blended learning, if they desire to.

Theories and models that underpin effective adult learning and group behaviour.

Module 2

Business & Commercial Understanding

The commercial context and drivers and process behind learning needs and solutions.

Module 3

Learning & Development Function

Their roles and responsibilities within the L&D structure.

Module 4

Management Information & Technology

How technology supports learning, including understanding of digital platforms and delivery channels as relevant.

Module 5

Identification

Establish team and individual capability and learning gaps, in line with organisational performance outcomes and to enable effective evaluation.

Module 6

Design

Design, construct and structure training and learning resources to meet a variety of needs.

Module 7

Delivery

Facilitate and deliver learning in a face-to-face, blended and digital environment as appropriate.

Module 8

Evaluation

Apply techniques to analyse the impact of training from learners’ experience.

Module 9

Communication & Interpersonal

Handle conflict and sensitive situations professionally and confidentially.

Module 10

Teamwork & Collaboration

Build and maintain strong working relationships with others in the L&D team, HR and the wider business as required.

This qualification will prepare you for employment as a Learning and Development Practitioner. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you may consider higher apprenticeships or additional professional qualifications and training.

What now?

Can I apply for this course?

The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade C or higher.

Some of the requirements may be:

  • Typically have five GCSEs at Grade C or higher.
  • Have been a resident in the UK/ Level 5 EEA/EU for the last 3 years.
  • Have Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Be able to meet the programme modules through their job role.
