Course Overview

Our Level 3 Marketing Assistant Apprenticeship is designed to equip the employee with the knowledge and skills to support customer focussed marketing activities that drive the demand for a product or service. As part of the marketing team the Marketing Assistant will contribute to the implementation of the marketing strategy and plans. The apprentice would be responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing activities across a multitude of platforms, channels and systems that are essential to the marketing function and activities o the company.

What will you learn?

Module 1

Business Environment

How to plan and co-ordinate work and marketing plans along with analysis techniques and research skills.

Module 2

Sales, Segmentation & Strategy

The key elements of a marketing plan, SWOT analysis and undertaking the product life cycle.

Module 3

Reaching Your customers

How to reach your customers and the stages of the customer journey and the sales lead funnel, how to create and interpret marketing briefs.

Module 4

Copywriting & Etiquette

Learn copywriting frameworks, communication styles, channels and platforms.

Module 5

Social Media & Branding

What types of content there are and the differences between print and digital audiences.

Module 6

Branding Guidlines

Writing a social media policy and managing responses generated through social media.

Module 7

Search Engine Optimisation

What SEO is and how to measure and report on it. Know the trends and changes that are associated with SEO.

Module 8

Digital Channel Performance

Different search advertising platforms that are used in marketing along with the keyword/phrases and match types of making a successful campaign.

Module 9

Digital Content

The different types of digital content that are used to inform and influence the market. File formats that are associated with web development and web security.

Module 10

The Customer's Journey

How to write marketing emails and e-newsletters along with the various writing styles that are used for different channels and campaigns. You will also be looking in depth at the channels that are available i.e Digital vs Traditional.

This qualification will prepare you for employment as a Marketing Assistant. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you may consider higher apprenticeships or additional professional qualifications and training.

You may also want to progress onto a Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.

What now?

Can I apply for this course?

The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or higher.

Some of the requirements may be:

  • Typically have five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or higher.
  • Have been a resident in the UK/ Level 5 EEA/EU for the last 3 years.
  • Have Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Be able to meet the programme modules through their job role.
