Course Overview

Our Network Engineer Level 4 programme gives participants the skills to design, install, maintain and support communication networks within an organisation or between organisations. They will then go on to understanding network configuration, cloud, network administration, monitoring tools, and be able to give technical advice and guidance.

On completion of the qualification, participants will be awarded a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Network Engineering. In addition to this, they could also take additional vendor or professional qualifications. In addition participants could be awarded with BCS accredited Knowledge modules

This qualification will prepare you for employment as a Network Engineer. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you may consider progressing to a Team Leader apprenticeship, an alternative higher apprenticeship or additional professional qualifications and training.

Can I apply for this course?

The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically include completion of a previous apprenticeship and Level 3 and five GCSEs at Grace C or higher.

Some of the requirements may be:

  • Typically completed a previous apprenticeship at Level 3.
  • Have five GCSEs at Grace C or higher.
  • Have been a resident in the UK/ Level 5 EEA/EU for the last 3 years.
  • Have Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
