Our Level 4 Software Developer programme is designed to equip employees with the knowledge and skills to build and test top-level code across front end, logic and database layers. This programme will enable growth and introduce brand new skills to your workforce.
During the 15 month programme, Software Developers will cover topics allowing them to support a business’ needs by identifying and understanding the end-user of the software and assisting developers to ensure the software is operating effectively and supporting your business decisions.
What will you learn?
Software Development Methodologies
In this module, the learner will learn to operate at all of the stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, understand the difference between agile and sequential software development methodologies.
This module covers the range of concepts, approaches, and techniques that are applicable to software development including software design, design patterns, data structures/collections, and program control.
All of the courses we offer at GBS Apprenticeships are aimed to help progress your continuous professional development.
This qualification will prepare you for employment as a Network Engineer. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you may consider progressing to a Team Leader apprenticeship, an alternative higher apprenticeship or additional professional qualifications and training.
Can I apply for this course?
The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically include completion of a previous apprenticeship and Level 3 and five GCSEs at Grace C or higher.
Some of the requirements may be:
- Typically completed a previous apprenticeship at Level 3.
- Have five GCSEs at Grace C or higher.
- Have been a resident in the UK/ Level 5 EEA/EU for the last 3 years.
- Have Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
