Job Description

Job Title – Digital Marketer Trainer

Reporting to: IT and Digital Programme Manager

Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week (Mon-Fri 09:00 – 17:00)

Site: GBS Academy

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per year

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General

  • Take responsibility for one’s own professional development and continually update as necessary, participating in appropriate staff development activities as required
  • Promote a positive image of GBS and the work that is carried out across its various services
  • Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring confidentiality, never passing on personal information unless there are safeguarding issues of concern which must always be reported to the Designated Safeguarding lead or to the Police or Social Services in an emergency
  • Read, understand, and abide by the GBS Ltd’s safeguarding and prevent policies and know how to respond to, report and record any concerns you may have about a child or adult at risk
  • Undertake and deliver regular safeguarding training as required
  • Show a commitment to diversity, equal opportunities, and anti-discriminatory practices. The post holder is expected to comply with and promote the Equal Opportunities Policy in all aspects of your duties and responsibilities
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the job
  • Take an active role in the health, safety and welfare of students and staff, attending training and carrying out health and safety related activities as appropriate to the role
  • Monitor and ensure progression of your own Continual Professional Development

Requirements

Experience, Qualifications

  • Level 3 or above Teaching Qualification (or be willing to work towards this qualification)
  • Minimum of grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent
  • At least 2 years Teaching experience, or in a Digital Marketing Role
  • Experience of working within the FE sector, in particular knowledge of Apprenticeships

Person Specification

  • An innovative thinker with a ‘can do’ attitude and an interactive approach to problem solving
  • Previous experience of working within the education sector
  • Previous experience in a Tutor/Trainer function
  • Demonstrate genuine commitment to continuous improvement
  • To be able to demonstrate an understanding, awareness, and empathy for the safeguarding needs of learners and staff within GBS Ltd.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • You will have an enthusiasm and passion to make a difference to a team
  • You must be able to work independently and deliver against stringent deadlines
  • Experience within Digital Marketing and or Creative Media
  • Have an interest in upcoming and latest Technology
  • Good understanding of Digital Marketing Practises and coding languages
  • You will ideally have good experience of using the full Microsoft packages and a willingness and aptitude to learn bespoke IT packages
