GBS Apprenticeships are excited to be expanding their proactive team based in our office located in Chesterfield. We are a Digital and Leadership & Management specialist training provider based in the heart of Chesterfield, with a national presence in our sector. Our offering includes Apprenticeships, Commercial Training, e-learning and Consultancy Services. Our trainers are made up of industry experts eager to share their knowledge and best practice with the workforce of the future and our aim is to equip all of our learners with the skills they need to succeed in their chosen career path.


  • Take responsibility for one’s own professional development and continually update as necessary, participating in appropriate staff development activities as required
  • Promote a positive image of GBS and the work that is carried out across it’s various services
  • Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring confidentiality, never passing on personal information unless there are safeguarding issues or concern which must always be reported to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Police or Social Services in an emergency
  • Read, understand and abide by the GBS Ltd’s safeguarding and prevent policies and know how to respond to, report and record any concerns you may have about a child or adult at risk
  • Undertake and deliver regular safeguarding training as required

Salary and Contract Terms:

£25,000 – £30,000 per annum. Dependant on experience.

Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm

37.5 hours per week

Experience, Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or above Teaching Qualification (or be willing to work towards this qualification)
  • Minimum of grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent
  • At least 2 years Teaching experience, or in an IT role (Support/Infrastructure/Software Development)
  • Experience of working within the FE sector, in particular knowledge of apprenticeships

Person Specification:

  • An innovative thinker with a can do attitude and an interactive approach to problem solving
  • Previous experience of working within the education sector
  • Previous experience in a Tutor/Trainer function
  • Demonstrate genuine commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • You will have an enthusiasm and passion to make a difference to a team
  • You must be able to work independently and deliver against stringent deadlines
  • Experience within IT support and/or Software Development
  • Have an interest in upcoming and latest technology
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure and Networking
  • You will ideally have good experience of using the full Microsoft packages and a willingness and aptitude to learn bespoke IT packages
